Whilst we’re waiting for the next episode of the Sport Sister Podcast, I thought I’d use this week’s blog post to share my favourite podcasts to listen to. I like to listen to podcasts a lot, and this is quite a varied selection!  Here we go…

1. Doing It For The Kids.  This is my absolute fave!  Frankie and Steve have really good chemistry and I find I always take something from every episode. If you are self-employed and have kids, you need to get this in your ears!  Plus the episodes are always a short and snappy 20 minutes. It will make you laugh and make you think in equal measure.

2. Stick to Football. There was obviously going to be some sports content in my list! I love this podcast. There is great chemistry between the group and a good balance of opinions, plus the special guests they have are always interesting to listen to. This is very much the style of podcast I enjoy – an informal chat with covering interesting topics.

3. Taskmaster The Podcast. I’m a huge fan of the TV show Taskmaster and the podcast is a great listen. Great guests and lots of laughs.  This is the podcast I listen to when I need a burst of energy or if I want something to listen to in the background, whilst I’m attempting to multitask!

4. The Therapy Edit. I love Anna Mathur and the work she does around maternal mental health. The episodes are really short so you can have a listen if you go for a quick walk or whilst you’re making lunch. She always has a lot of great advice and you can scroll through all of her episodes to find what you need at that moment.  Would recommend to any mums looking for a quick podcast to listen to.

5. Being Freelance.  Steve’s second appearance in my list! I have learned so much from listening to other people’s stories around ‘Being freelance’.  There is such a variety in the careers and stories of the guests and there are so many episodes you can go back and listen to.  It was the first podcast I started binging when I became self-employed and I would thoroughly recommend it to anyone else in the same position.
